Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine against Covid-19 is registered in Ukraine for urgent medical use, as the Health Ministry reported.
“Yesterday, the Health Ministry has registered the vaccine against Covid-19 Oxford/AstraZeneca for urgent medical use,” the message said.
Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine produced by Serum Institute of India has the local (trade) name CoviShield. Correspondingly, the CoviShield vaccine, which will arrive in Ukraine today, is officially registered.
On February 19, the Health Minister departed to India to hold talks with the Serum Institute.
On February 21, the Health Minister reported that in India, the first 500,000 doses of the AstraZeneca-CoviShield vaccine have started their way to Ukraine.
On February 22, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the efficacy level of CoviShield, calling its one of the best vaccines.
