Earlier, on February 18, about 500 nationalists rallied under the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv, as Radio Liberty agency reported.
The protesters voiced several requirements to the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, among which are mandatory wearing of identification numbers on helmets and tokens by special forces, completion of lustration, full re-certification of all special forces, including Kord, depoliticizing the police and changing the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The press service of the metropolitan police says 200 law enforcement officers guarded order during the demonstration. The rally passed without violations.

As it was reported earlier, On February 9, Ukraine's State Investigation Bureau (SIB) opened criminal proceedings after numerous accusations against the police in beating far right near the office in Kyiv.
The law enforcement officers saw a group of people with covered faces and chevrons of far-right C14 organization, included in the American terrorist base, on Kontraktova Square, Kyiv downtown, where the meeting of president's candidate Yulia Tymoshenko was taking place. They brought rubber-bullet handguns, Teren 4 pepper spray (carrying of which requires special permission), and knives. The police detained them and took them to the police station.
