Armen Sarkissian, the President of Armenia, signed a decree on the resignation of the state’s government, as it was noted in the President’s decree.
“Under the 130 article of Armenian Constitution, accept the Government’s resignation,” the decree says.
Earlier, Serzh Sargsyan resigned as Armenia’s PM amid continuing massive protests demanding his resignation.
The protests against Sargsyan continue occurring in Erevan for the second week already, several hundreds of people were detained over this time and according to the law enforcers some of them with violations. There was a number of victims as well. The protesters were blocking the streets and tried to block the government buildings.
