It is noted that law enforcers do not enter the flat of Klitschko as he left for trainign early in the morning. They expect the city head at the entrance.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko commented on searches at his house and stated that the law enforcers came to another flat as Ukraine 24 reported.
“They were banging on the door. We have a CCTV camera. Now they got scared or something else…They went to another flat. They came to a person who lives on the floor below. Earlier, the employees of opera theater lived there – they live a simple life,” Klitschko said.
Kyiv Mayor wrote on Telegram channel that the employees of the Security Service also knocked on his apartment; however, there was no one as he was training at that time.
Meanwhile, Klitschko added that “such things did not happen even during the Yanukovych’s ruling”.
Earlier, the employees of the Social Policy Department of Kyiv City State Administration were served charges in the acquisition of 13.5 million hryvnias ($490,168) of budget funds.
On May 12, the prosecutor’s office searched Special Housing Stock in Kyiv.
Moreover, on May 13, law enforcers came with searches to the Department of Town Planning and Architecture of Kyiv City State Administration, as well as to the offices of Kyiv Metro and Kyiv Road Bridge.
Kyiv Mayor stated that searches held by law enforcers during the past two days are the pressure on Kyiv authorities and oppression of the local self-government.
Besides, Klitschko demanded from the law enforcers to provide reports on the status of cases as the city administration passed them documents on the results of the audits.
