An unknown shooter opened fire on the car of Serhiy Shefir, first assistant of President of Ukraine. The incident occurred near Lisnyky village, Kyiv region. The official did not suffer any injuries. His driver, on the other hand was wounded in the assault.
According to press office of Ukraine's Interior Ministry, 10 bullets hit the car, and one of them hit the driver.
The police reached the site for further investigation. Law enforcers are now searching the culprits. Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova is on site, too.

According to MP Yevhen Shevchenko, Shefir's driver is now in a hospital, his condition is grave. The lawmaker added that the assault took place as the vehicle was on the move.
Ukrainska Pravda outlet claims it was a burst fire from an assault rifle.
