Aparshyn to become Director-General on National Security and Defence for President's Office

Ivan Aparshyn

Ivan Aparshyn who was the advisor in the team of Volodymyr Zelensky during his pre-election presidential campaign headed the directorate on the national security issues and defence of the President's office. This was stated by the press service of Volodymyr Zelensky. 

It is reported that Aparshyn had won the competition with the score 20,04 for this post.

After announcement of the results, Aparshyn should be officially appointed on this position. 

Aparshyn headed the Department of Military Policy and Strategic Planning of the Ministry of Defence in 2006-2007, worked as the Head of the Department of Defence Policy and Security Policy for the Cabinet Office in 2010-2011. In 2011-2014 he was the Deputy Director of the Department of the Professional Expertise, Head of the Expertise Office in Security and Defence spheres for the Cabinet Office. Ivan Aparshyn was also a candidate for the post of the Minister of Defence in the team of Gritsenko (candidate for the post of the President of Ukraine 2019 - ed.).
