The Cabinet of Ministers appointed six deputies of Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, as the Interior Ministry reported.
Serhiy Yarovy became the First Deputy. Tetiana Kovalchuk, Serhiy Honcharov, Kateryna Pavlychenko, Anton Herashchenko, and Oleksandr Gogilashvili were appointed as the deputies.
MP of VIII convocation Anton Herashchenko will provide the interaction of the ministry with the Verkhovna Rada, parliamentary committees at the post of the deputy. Moreover, he will provide “communication dialogues with the public and mass media”.
Tetiana Kovalchuk will be obliged to provide the formation of the state policy toward the international cooperation with the EU and NATO, international organization and foreign law enforcers as well as the communication with the non-government organizations.
Serhiy Honcharov will work on the provision of the United information system of Interior Ministry, implementation of the United system of aviation safety and civil protection. He also has to provide the police officers and officers of command and other ranks with the accommodation on the terms of the financial leasing.
Kateryna Pavlychenko, who was Deputy Head of Patrol Police Department before the new appointment, will be obliged to provide the monitoring over the respect for the rights and freedoms of a person, rights, and capacities of women and men, counteraction domestic violence. Moreover, she will provide the counteraction with the state power bodies and international organization in these spheres.
Oleksandr Gogilashvili will work on counteraction the drug abuse and drug-related crimes, rehabilitation of drug addicts. Besides, he will be obliged to provide the social partnership of the Interior Ministry with the religious groups, international organizations in the fight against drug addiction and rehabilitation of drug addicts.
Serhiy Yarovy will coordinate the activity of the law enforcement bodies and military formation. He will provide “high combat and mobilization readiness, protection of the objects and territories in cases of emergency, participation in the national contingent and national personnel in the international operation on the maintenance of peace and security”.
Serhiy Yarovy, Tetiana Kovalchuk and Serhiy Honcharov were at the same positions during the new appointment.
As we reported, Police General of the third rank Ihor Klymenko, who previously served as a Deputy Head of the National Police, became the new head of the National Police of Ukraine. The press service of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine reported this.
