On October 18, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) provided suspicion to former first deputy of the National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleh Gladkovsky as Ukrainian News reported.
“We have already handed the suspicion. Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor Kholodnytsky agreed it,” the source said.
Oleh Gladkovsky is suspected in the abuse of power or official position.
Meanwhile, the source did not specify whether Gladkovsky was handed the suspicion in the declaration of false information.
Earlier 112.ua reported that Oleh Hladkovsky tried to leave the country, but he was detained by employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau. He was detained on the Boryspil highway.
Later the NABU confirmed that Oleh Gladkovsky was detained under suspicion in abuse of official position.
As we reported earlier, on February 25, journalist investigations Bihus.Info, Nashi Hroshi program alleged that Ihor Gladkovsky, the son of Poroshenko's close ally Oleh Gladkovsky, deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), organized a corruption scheme to smuggle spare military-equipment parts from Russia in 2015.
State defense facilities purchased the smuggled spare parts from private companies linked to Gladkovsky and his friends at highly inflated prices. Ukroboronprom state concern knew the origin of the smuggled parts but agreed to purchase them.
Ihor Gladkovsky, along with Vitaliy Zhukov and Andriy Rogoza were supplying smuggled Russian components and components from the Ukrainian military units through straw companies at prices 2-4 times higher than market ones.
