422 new coronavirus cases were observed in the capital in 24 hours

In Kyiv, during the past 24 hours, 21 people died from the complications of coronavirus; it is the largest number of deceased from Covid-19 in the capital in 24 hours since the beginning of the pandemic as Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported.

“During the whole period of the pandemic, the largest number of lethal cases in a day is observed – 21 people died. Totally, the coronavirus took lives of 518 Kyiv citizens,” the message said.

During the past 24 hours, 422 new Covid-19 cases were registered. Thus, 236 women at the age of 18 up to 89; 153 men at the age of 18 up to 92; 14 girls at the age of 16 days up to 17 years and 19 boys at the age of eight months up to 17 years were infected. 16 medics are among them.

78 people were hospitalized; while the others stay in self-isolation under the control of the doctors.

As for today, there are 28,512 Covid-19 cases in the capital. 268 people recovered in 24 hours; totally, 10,299 Kyiv citizens overcame the virus.

As we reported, during the last 24 hours, 5,590 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, coronavirus was confirmed in 276,177 people, of whom 5229 (+107 during the day) died, 118,699 (+2137) recovered.
