The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a draft agreement with the government of the Republic of Mauritius on mutual abolition of visa requirements, the parliamentarian Oleksiy Honcharenko reported in Telegram.
Now, to enter Ukraine, the citizens of the Republic of Mauritius will be issued visas in foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine and visas in electronic form (e-Visa).
At the same time, citizens of Ukraine who intend to travel to the Republic of Mauritius must obtain an appropriate Mauritian visa (except for citizens traveling to Mauritius as tourists, which in connection with a unilateral decision of the Government of the Republic of Mauritius, adopted on March 17, 2017, can use enter visa-free and stay in the country for up to 90 days).
"The draft agreement provides for the introduction of a visa-free regime for mutual travel of citizens of Ukraine and the Republic of Mauritius, on condition that the duration of stay of citizens of one party on the territories of the other party does not exceed 90 days during 180 days," the document states.
As it was reported earlier, citizens of Ukraine with biometric passports received the right to travel without visas to overseas departments and communities of France on August 6. The decision was made by the Ministry of European Affairs and Foreign Affairs of France after long diplomatic efforts of the Ukrainian side.
