Another five Ukrainian regions to enter “red” zone of quarantine

Zhytomyr, Luhansk, Lviv, Khmelnytsky and Chernihiv regions will enter the "red" zone of epidemic danger soon as Health Minister Viktor Lyashko stated during the briefing.

"At the next meeting of the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies, a decision will be made to transfer to the "red" level of epidemic danger five more regions - Zhytomyr, Luhansk, Lviv, Khmelnytsky and Chernihiv," Lyashko said.

He added that from today, October 26, Rivne and Mykolaiv regions moved to the "red" quarantine zone. Besides, the "red" level of epidemic danger remains in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Odesa, Sumy and Kherson regions.

Thus, in the near future in Ukraine, 13 regions will be in the "red" zone of epidemic danger.

As we reported, 19,120 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Ukraine during the past 24 hours. Particularly, 734 people died. The majority of the cases were registered in Dnipropetrovsk (+1,760), Odesa (+1,605), Kharkiv (+1,255), Kherson (+1,222) regions, and Kyiv (+1,135).
