The occupant government of the annexed Crimea prepares to file a lawsuit against Ukraine due to the 'damage caused to the peninsula by water blockade’ as TASS reported.

It is specified that Speaker of the so-called "State Council of Crimea" Volodymyr Kostyantynov asked the proper committees to prepare information about damage from the shutdown of the North-Crimean channel to environment, agriculture and enterprises of Crimea, as well as the health of the citizens of the peninsula.

“I ask to prepare an image, to record from quadcopter the North-Crimean channel – how it looks right now, its dreadful state. We have got the most serious environmental problem that appeared instead of the channel,” Kostyantynov said.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine noted that the supply of water from mainland Ukraine to Crimea will be resumed only after the complete de-occupation of the peninsula takes place.

Head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas Leonid Kravchuk stated that if Crimea faces a humanitarian catastrophe, Ukraine may resume water supply to the peninsula, but only for the needs of the population.
