Andriy Lysetsky's debut film Ivan's Land has been selected to participate in the competition program of the prestigious Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival.

According to Ukrainian State Film Agency, the festival will take place from April 29 to May 9 in Toronto.  

Hot Docs is one of the five most influential international documentary film festivals held annually in Canada. The international premiere of the film Ivan's Land will take place at Hot Docs-2021.

The movie tells about the life of the Ukrainian artist that is the last representative of Polissya folk painting - Ivan Prykhodko.

Ukrainians can see the film almost a month before the festival jury at the Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, which will take place online this year. Andriy Lysetsky's film participates in the DOCU / Ukraine competition program.

Earlier it was reported that Onuka's Zenit video became nominee for ARFF Barcelona International Film Festival.
