Andorra extradites Lviv citizen suspected in carjacking to Ukraine

It is the first-ever case of the extradition of a perpetrator from Andorra

The police of Andorra extradited a man wanted for the carjacking from 2016 to Ukraine. It is the first-ever case of the extradition of a perpetrator from Andorra as the National Police of Ukraine reported.

A native citizen of Lviv was put on the wanted list in 2016 at the request of Ternopil region court. He was accused of the theft of the premium car.

It turned out that a wanted man stays in Andorra. He can face 20 years of imprisonment with confiscation of the property in Ukraine.

Earlier we reported that in 2018, the Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine approved the claims of Russia on the extradition of ten individuals suspected of having committed criminal offenses.

Besides, Ukraine asks the U.S. to extradite MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter Andry Inosov suspected in the murder of journalist Vasyl Serhienko in Cherkasy region. Inosov was suspected in absentia in the participation in the criminal organization created for the commitment of the grave and particularly grave crimes and commitment of the intentional homicide. In December 2018, the court granted the application of the investigation and arrested the suspect in absentia.
