In Kharkiv region, on October 21, seven crew members of crashed near Chuhuiv An-26 posthumously received the Exemplary Service Badge. The event took place at the Chuhuiv united district military commissariat as ArmiaInform reported.
The head of the staff, the first deputy head of Kharkiv Air Force University named after Ivan Kozhedub, Colonel Andriy Berezhny handed the state awards to the families of the deceased.
After the conferment, the gathered paid tribute to the memory of the military men deceased in the air crash.
“Besides, the representatives of the command of the university, training aviation brigade and bodies of the local authority talked to the families of deceased about the provision of aid in the solution of the number of issues, particularly, toward the order of payment of one-time money assistance,” the message said.

As we reported earlier, on September 25, at about 20:50 near the military airport of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv region, a military aircraft AN-26 fell and caught fire.
Rescue work was carried out by 70 people of the State Emergency Situations Service. According to preliminary estimates of flight safety specialists, one of the sensors in the left engine of the aircraft failed.
As of now, the investigative bodies are considering several different versions of the crash. The Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleh Urusky stated that the accident could have been caused by technical malfunctions and human factors.
