The ammunition depots in Donetsk region are checked since September 25. Head of Donetsk Military Civilian City Administration Pavlo Zhebrivsky claimed this to 112 Ukraine.
'The council was gathered and the key points were highlighted after the explosion in Maloianycol. Besides the military prosecutor's office and people who should check the ammunition depots and other places according to their official duties', Zhebrivsky said and added that the tasks were set already on September 25 and the committee began its work.
'I think that there is war on and every object that is interesting for an enemy is also dangerous for the civilians and it should be considered', he noted.
The fire occured at the ammunition depot at the one of the military base near Mariupol on September 22. A few explosions took place at the ammunition depot before the fire.
The Operation Headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 'Pivden' claimed that preliminary the fire at the ammunition depot could occur due to the attempted arson attack of the grass at the near by field.
As it was reported earlier, fire at the ammunition storages in Kalynivka of Vinnytsia region began at 22:00 on September 26. Ukraine’s Emergency Service cannot yet assess the scale of the incident (as of 23:30), But all the forces of the Emergency Service, including the leadership, have been raised in alarm.

There were no chemical substances stored in Kalynivka arsenal, explosions are spotted on the tank ammunition sites only, according to Bohdan Senyk, the head of the public affairs division of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The official reason of the fire is still not announced but the General Staff of the Armed Forces of kraine does not exclude the version of sabotage.
The air space in the radius of 50 kilometers from the zone of the fire is closed according to the decision of the 'Ukraerocenter'. Also, the movement by the railway road Sosenka-Kalinovla and the movement to Zhmerynka are closed. It was reported on the closure of the movement at the road Vinnytsta-Kyiv and Zhytomyt-Mogylev-Podolsky.
In 2005, on the basis of the 48th arsenal, it was considered to create a regional Western center for the elimination of weapons, but local authorities actively opposed the establishment of such a center and it was never established. However, there were reports that obsolete ammunition from the Khmelnytsky and Lviv regions was being brought to the arsenal.
