On the morning of Feb. 16, the drone left the Sigonella Naval Air Field and conducted a surveillance flight along the front line in Donbas for some 12 hours, not crossing the line.
The drone flew at an altitude of 16,000 m at 600 km/h. It left the airspace over Donbas at around 20:00.
It came to Ukraine from the side Romania and flew to the East through Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions. It also got closed to the borders of Voronezh, Belgorod, and Rostov regions of Russia.
Previously American drones conducted flights over Ukraine on Feb. 11 and Jan. 8. RQ-4A Global Hawk can conduct surveillance from the distance of 300 km, so it’s able to monitor the situation on the militant-controlled territory and Russian border.
