The American Chamber of Commerce at a meeting with presidential adviser Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized the problematic issues in Ukraine, such as searches at IT companies. This was reported by the press service of the President of Ukraine.
Apart from the searches, representatives of American business also pointed out the taxation of IT industries, development of mobile and broadband Internet and electronic court and the adoption of priority bills necessary for the IT industry.
“All these proposals will be processed by President’s Office of Ukraine in order to attract innovative American business to the development of digital sphere in Ukraine,” the president’s website said.
During the meeting, Fedorov presented a digital action plan in which the development of the digital economy would be the number one priority for Ukraine.
“We have to make a digital transformation of existing sectors of the economy and create favorable conditions for the emergence of new ones. Otherwise, we risk lagging behind the leading economies of the world forever. Together with the core business and the public, we defined clear goals until 2024,” Fedorov said.
As it was reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree “On some measures improving the access of physical persons and legal entities to electronic services,” aimed at ensuring the transparency of state registries, development of modern electronic identification aids and the introduction of electronic public services.
