America insists on full implementation of the Minsk agreements and calls on Russia and the separatists it supports to begin with a ceasefire in eastern Ukraine. This was stated by the Minister-Counselor of the US delegation Christopher Klein during the UN Security Council session on Tuesday, reports Ukrinform.
“We continue to support Minsk agreement and its full implementation as the best way to resolve the conflict in the eastern Ukraine,” he said.
Klein also called on Russia and separatist forces that it supports to "immediately begin to adhere to ceasefire regime, withdraw all heavy weapons and ensure full and unhindered access of OSCE observers to the area."
Klein condemned threatening the OSCE and seizure of their drone by the “DPR” militants.
“It is essential that these forces stop their attacks on civilian infrastructure, including water filtration plant in Donetsk,” US representative said.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine's Presidency in UN Security Council has been successful, according to Poroshenko. "With the world's highest security bleachers Ukraine together with its partners strongly condemned the Russian aggression in the Donbas and Crimea occupation", Poroshenko says.
