“As of 9:00 a.m., 1,791 people registered in the consulates and embassies of Ukraine with the request to help them to leave the host country. We will gather the groups. For example, some people from Spain, some from Portugal – they should be taken to one point and transferred as a group,” he said.
Kuleba assured that all possibilities and models will be used to return these citizens.
“Any Ukrainian wherever he/she is stuck, will not be left without our attention,” the minister added.
As we reported, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has temporarily suspended the appointments with citizens and the visa issuing activity.
On March 16, Ukraine temporarily closed about a hundred checkpoints and banned entry into Ukraine for foreigners. Entry into Ukraine for foreigners and stateless persons is also temporarily prohibited.
As of March 15, five cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Ukraine. Two new cases were found in the Chernivtsi region.
