Almost 100 towns and villages in Ukraine left without electricity due to strong wind

94 towns and villages in seven regions were left without electricity due to the harshening of the weather conditions at night of October 31. The press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this.

’27 towns and villages in Kyiv region, 19 in Zhytomyr region, 17 in Sumy region, and 13 in Khmelnytsky region are left without electricity as at October 31. Also, there are the villages in Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi and Dnipropetrovsk regions that are cut off from the electricity’, the message said.

The press service of ‘Luhansk energy union’ added that 1722 subscribers were left without electricity and 46 transforming sub-stations were cut off from the electricity.

Yesterday about 400 towns and villages were cut off from the grid. Snow cover appeared on roadways in Zakarpattya region, western Ukraine; the water level in local rivers increased due to strong rains
