Studio Kvartal-95 is not holding campaign during their concerts, art activity is permitted even for top public officials. This is how the company reacted to “Opora’s” Citizen's Network statement on signs of violation of electional legislation by presidential candidate Zelenskiy, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
“Absence of any kind of agitation in art activities is a base principle of Studio Kvartal-95. Therefore, this tour does not have any agitation, just as the previous ones,” the Studio informed.
The representatives of Studio Kvartal-95 noted that the current tour was scheduled in autumn in 2018.
“Besides, this is not Zelensky’s solo performance, this is a concert program, all the actors of the company, including Zelenskiy, take part in it,” the company reported.
Besides, they added, “that art activity is permitted by the laws of Ukraine even for top public officials.”
“There are no calls to vote or not to vote for Zelenskiy or other candidates during the concerts. We think that allegations of illegal agitation are aimed at creating another hype in media,” the company stated.
Earlier, Studio Kvartal-95 performed a free concert with the participation of a presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelenskiy. This might be a sign of indirect payoff of voters, as the candidates do not have a right to provide goods and services for Ukrainians for free during the campaign as "Opora" reported.
