Ukrainian government is to hold the population census in Ukraine in 2023. It will be also held through the internet and Ukrainians will be identified through the telephone, too, as Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchynov reported on Telegram.
“Today we had the online meeting of the inter-agency commission on cooperation in holding an all-Ukrainian census of the population in 2023,” he wrote.
After the end of the meeting, the commission made a decision to make actual digital cartographic material produced for the needs of the all-Ukrainian census and modernize the complex of the automated system for the provision of the quarter lists and census districts of the all-Ukrainian census.
Moreover, the members of the meeting agreed that it is necessary to launch the service for the identification of respondents through mobile phone in the subsystem of the census during the internet round of the all-Ukrainian census.
Last December, the Cabinet of Ministers made a decision that the national population census will be held in 2023. The explanatory note indicates that the last nationwide population census took place in 2001.
