In Chernivtsi, the intensive care units of all hospitals where Covid-19 patients are treated are fully loaded. There are also many patients in the departments of city medical institutions, the press service of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration reports on Facebook.
The highest rates are in city hospitals № 4 and №3, they have a 100% and 93% of intensive care units full, respectively. On October 30, 169 people were hospitalized in the region.
"We still had such high numbers, but not on weekends, for Saturday it is an extremely large number. 16 fatalities were recorded. The workload in hospital bases is increasing every day, so they should do everything to protect themselves and their families from the disease. It is worth remembering that vaccination and compliance with quarantine norms save lives," said Oleh Chorny, director of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration's Health Department.
As of Saturday there are already 15 areas in the red quarantine zone, and Khmelnytsky and Ternopil regions also tightened quarantine without entering the red zone.
Kyiv has also officially moved to the red quarantine zone from 00:00 on November 1. In this regard, the capital faces a number of strict restrictions.
