All elections commissions to be equipped today, - Poroshenko's HQ

The election headquarters of Petro Poroshenko stated that until the end of this day, April 15, all the polling stations will be equipped. Freelance advisor and spokesperson of Poroshenko’s election HQ Oleg Medvedev stated this, as Ukrainian news reported.

“The formation of the election commissions will be finished today at 00:00. According to the latest information, the full list of members of the commissions will be ready as well as of 00:00”, Medvedev said.

According to the speaker, there are no problems with the preparation of the district commission.  However, the problem is that the members of the commission work on a volunteer basis, as Medvedev pointed out.

There was a lack of members of the election commission in some regions in Ukraine. April 15 is the official day of formation of the election commissions.

Earlier today, the Central Election Commission of Ukraine (CEC) has finished the registration of the official observers of the presidential elections in Ukraine today, April 15. Totally, 2,700 international observers have been registered. 

In particular, the CEC members registered 345 official observers on the elections of the president of Ukraine during the session today.

Besides, the Commission has cancelled the registration of the five official observers: 1 from the National Diplomatic Foreign Affairs of the USA, 2 from the World Congress of Ukrainians, 1 from the committee For the open democracy, 1 from the Bureau of the democratic institutions and human rights of the Organization of the security and cooperation with Europe.
