Air taxi might be launched in Odesa region

The launch of high-speed passenger air transportation between the regional centers and the resort zones was initiated in Odesa region. The press-service of Odesa Regional State Administration reports this.

Thus, the Air Express investment project involves the use of heavy helicopters Boeing Vertol 107-II and Boeing 234 Chinook (26 and 44 passenger seats, respectively) for the transportation of passengers between the regional centers and the resorts in Zatoka (Carolino-Bugaz), Bukovel and Truskavets.

According to the estimates, the route to Carolino Bugaz from Kyiv will take two hours, from Vinnytsia – 1 hour and 25 minutes, and from Cherkasy – one hour a half.

According to the investment project, the first stage includes arranging nine helicopter pads in Ukraine.

The Odesa Regional State Administration has signed a memorandum with the International Transport Service group TWS. It is expected that the US Trans World Service and the EXIM Corporation will join the project as well.
