Advisers to the heads of Normandy four countries will hold talks on April 19. Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Dmitry Kozak announced this at a press conference.
"Let's see, I think, in the near future there will be another initiative, such talks have already been initiated ... on April 19, we have initiated negotiations in the Normandy format. Let's see how the situation will change after this exchange of views at the highest level," Kozak said.
Earlier it was reported that President Volodymyr Zelensky intended to initiate talks with the leaders of the Normandy format on aggravation of the situation in Donbas.
An escalation of the situation has been observed in Donbas recently. Since the beginning of this day alone, the militants have violated the ceasefire five times. A sailor of the military unit A2802 Denys Yushko, born in 1998, died from a gunshot bullet wound.
On April 7, the HQ reported that the occupants violated the ceasefire regime seven times. Near Pisky and Opytne, the militants opened fire from 82 mm and 120 mm mortars; near Hnutove, Shyrokyno, Talakovka, and Vodyane, they used various grenade launchers and small arms.
