In the evening of October 23, a group of activists barricaded themselves in the courtroom of Svyatoshynsky District Court of Kyiv where the question of electing a preventive measure to the leader of OUN volunteer battalion Mykola Kohanivsky, was considered. This was reported by the activist Anna Sinkova in Facebook.
In response to the actions of activists, law enforcers stormed the premises, turning off the light and throwing tear gas grenades into the building. During the clashes, furniture and other items that were in the room were used.
"They let a tear gas in the hall with the journalists. They want to kill us!" the activist comments.
As it was repoted earlier law enforcement officers detained the commander of the OUN volunteer battalion Mykola Kohanivsky this Friday, as he started shooting in Kyiv.
"I was going to a dormitory, and a certain Ruslan Kachmala got to me, started threatening and insulting me, a fight started. I had a non-lethal weapon with me. He started punching me and used gas, so I had to use the weapon. I wasn’t too badly hurt. It’s an old conflict. They are forcing the tenants of the dormitory to move. He does that blatantly, and we are defending them,” he said.
Commander of the OUN (Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists) battalion Mykola Kohanivsky said that the shooting he started occurred because in the area he was at, a certain group of people forces the tenants to leave their dwelling, as he told 112.
