Activists occupy occupied convention and exhibition center Parkovy and demanded to transfer it to state property or to prove the building belongs to the state. 112.ua journalist Daryna Shmatko is reporting of the situation.
“At the moment, the situation is calm. On both sides there is half of a hundred representatives of the nationalist forces here, they are here since yesterday. Their demands is to return the building into state property, to conduct an open competition on the purpose of the building, to conduct an independent and open assessment of the whole complex, including cconcerning the cost of this building. At the same time, the secretary of the Prosecutor General Larysa Sargan wrote that Parkovy is in a state property and the investigation establishes persons involved in the construction of a helicopter platform,” she said.
“On December 28, 2010, Kyiv city council passed a decision, by which it transferred land plots for 2 hectares to Amadeus.ko for rent for 25 years. This company acted as a customer for the construction of a helicopter platform for ex-president Viktor Yanukovych, and this year, on August 4, Court of Appeal decided to arrest this building so nobody could use it. The activists want these demands of the court to be fulfilled so none of the entrepreneurs could now work here or if anything, - work for the state. Therefore, they require relevant documents, which would confirm that the helicopter platform belongs to the state.
As it was reported earlier сourt arrested all immovable property in Mezhyhirya. The movable property is still under inspection, the final decision about arrest will be carried out afterwards.
Mezhyhirya Residence is the former residence of Viktor Yanukovych, Ukraine’ runaway President in Novi Petrivtsi village of Vyshhorod district in Kyiv region. Mezhyhirya was a state government residence from 1935 to 2007, until it was privatized.
Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko said that the court nullified the transfer of Mezhyhirya residence from state property. Next step should be the court decision to hold an ex-President Yanukovych, Eduard Stavytsky and other parties accountable for this illegal deal, Lutsenko said.
