About 100 Ukrainian political prisoners will spend Christmas holidays behind bars in Russia as the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine reported on Facebook.

The Foreign Ministry urged the international society not to weaken pressure on Russia until all Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia and temporarily occupied territories are released.

“About 100 citizens of Ukraine who illegally stay in the detention in Russia ‘celebrate’ Christmas holidays in jail. Again. Some of Ukrainians political prisoners were released and returned home to their families and friends but they could not see them for years and ‘celebrated’ a lot of holidays in jails,” the message said.
