According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, about 100 Ukrainians want to leave Afghanistan. This was announced by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleh Nikolenko, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
According to him, Ukrainian citizens will be taken home as soon as the opportunity arises.
"According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, currently about 100 Ukrainians want to leave Afghanistan. Our embassy in Tajikistan keeps in touch with them. As soon as there is another opportunity to leave the country, citizens will receive instructions on further actions," Nikolenko said.
As it was reported earlier, after aggravation of a situation in Afghanistan six evacuation planes with more than 650 people arrived in Kyiv, Ukraine.
On September 8, Oleksiy Arestovych, an adviser to the head of the President's Office and speaker of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group said that Ukraine was preparing a camp to receive 5,000 Afghan refugees.
