In Turkey, Muğla Province, a 25-year-old Ukrainian Khrystyna Novitska was found dead at the villa, as Sozcu reported.

It is noted that she was found sitting in the armchair handcuffed with a plastic bag on her head. Currently, the Turkish police consider the variant of suicide as all locks of the villa were locked from the inside; the windows have iron bars and there was no mess in the house. The forensic examination continues.

Meanwhile, the friends of the deceased Ukrainian noted that the woman was depressed recently; possibly, due to the difficult financial situation and she almost did not leave the house. According to the media, the Ukrainian came to Turkey from Kyiv three years ago and worked as a model and dancer. She taught dance but she had almost no work during the past 10 months due to the pandemic.

The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine confirmed information about the death of Khrystyna Novitska in Turkey, as TSN reported citing the ministry’s spokesperson Oleh Nikolenko.

“The case is under special control of the consulate of Ukraine in Antalya. The diplomats have already established contact with the Turkish law enforcement bodies that hold investigation and relatives of the deceased,” he said.

Currently, the Ukrainian consulate has started a set of events to prepare the body for repatriation.
