Official investigation in Kniazhychi shootout was completed and handed over to the prosecutor’s office. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, according to "LІGA.net".

"The internal investigation in Kniazhychi shootout was completed. It is in the Prosecutor General’s Office. In volume this document is more than 40 pages,” Avakov reported.

The Minister said that the decision on the disciplinary sanctions was taken according to the results of the investigation. “8 people were fired. About 12 people received disciplinary penalties, including service incompetence announced to the Chief of Kyiv police Colonel Kryschenko and to the chief of district department Prystupa,” he said.

The minister also said that the situation in Kniazhychi was the result of serious shortcomings in the planning of the operation.

As it was reported earlier, 5 law enforcement officers killed in shootout in Kniazhychi as a result of confusion. The employees of the government security service took police intelligence officers for robbers.
