“The next year, we plan to finish the process of vaccination of 70 and more percent of adults and it enables us to form a collective immunity,” PM reported.
Shmygal also noted that until the end of 2021, it is planned to vaccinate the majority of the adults in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the authorities expect to vaccinate the mass of the population until Independence Day to invite guests and celebrate the holiday.
“Until Independence Day, we have ambitious plans to vaccinate mass of the population to really invite guests and celebrate it. We assume all efforts. Currently, the signed contracts for the supply of vaccines and dates of supplies show that the mass of people will be vaccinated. However, the significant number of supplies will take place in the fourth quarter,” Shmygal said.
2,194 people received the first dose of the vaccine against coronavirus in Ukraine on May 10. Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 865,590 patients received the first dose. Meanwhile, 695 people finished the immunization (received two doses).
