However, according to Lyashko, the speed of the vaccination campaign is "influenced by a large number of factors", including anti-vaccinationists' calls.
"The health care system is capable. And we understand that this is influenced by a large number of factors. Today I was sent a video that was recorded near one of the vaccination centers in the Chernihiv region… People said that a sore throat and loss of taste were not because of Covid, but nitrogen dioxide sprayed by those who flew over the city. Dissuaded people, by and large," Lyashko said.
According to him, today Ukraine has reached completely different numbers of vaccinations.
"Now we have reached completely different numbers of vaccinations, on October 22 we had the fifth day in a row a daily record for the number of vaccinations. We achieved 289,000 vaccinations in a day - we used to do that much in a month," the head of the Ministry of Health said.
Lyashko believes that "conditions must be created" so that the number of people willing to get vaccinated "remains the same or grows bigger."
As it was reported earlier, 254,920 people were vaccinated against coronavirus in Ukraine on October 25. 185,786 people received one dose during the day, 69,134 were fully immunized.
Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 9,151,480 people have been vaccinated, of whom 9,151,478 received one dose, 7,058,802 received two doses, and were fully immunized (two of them received one dose abroad).
