The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine announced about the debt of nearly seven million dollars before Ukrainians according to the decision of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). This was reported by the Ukrainian News daily, referring to the statement of the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in ECHR.
“As of January 25, 2017 the sum of debt under the decisions of national courts in cases that are under consideration of the Ministry of Justice is 6,5 million dollars,” according to the statement.
It is noted that this sum is not final because the information has not been provided in full.
There are 7 849 cases under consideration in the ministry of justice that came for processing from ECHR.
It is reported that as of January 25, 2017 the debt of state bodies and state enterprises and organizations is 850 million dollars according to the decisions from October 17, 2013.
Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian judge was elected for section president and bureau member of ECHR. Anna Yudkovska became the second judge representing a non-EU Eastern European country in the ECHR’s history.
