6,409 new Covid-19 cases observed in Ukraine

In Ukraine, during the past 24 hours, 6,409 new cases of coronavirus infection were observed as the Health Ministry reported.

Totally, since the beginning of Covid-19 pandemic, 1,130,839 people got infected; 826,871(+14,503 in 24 hours) recovered; 20,214 (+195) died.

During the past 24 hours, the majority of the cases were registered in Kyiv (906), Zaporizhia (529), Kharkiv (521), Odesa (513) and Poltava (356) regions.

The situation in the regions is the next: Kyiv – 906 cases; Vinnytsia region – 211 cases; Volyn region – 143 cases; Dnipropetrovsk region – 105 cases; Donetsk region – 189 cases; Zhytomyr region – 101 cases; Zakarpattia region – 100 cases; Zaporizhia region – 529 cases; Ivano-Frankivsk region – 134 cases; Kyiv region – 280 cases; Kyrovohrad region – 117 cases; Luhansk region – 228 cases; Lviv region – 277 cases; Mykolaiv region – 172 cases; Odesa region – 513 cases; Poltava region – 356 cases; Rivne region – 235 cases; Sumy region – 159 cases; Ternopil region – 127 cases, Kharkiv region – 521 cases; Kherson region – 141 cases; Khmelnytsk region – 348 cases; Cherkasy region – 269 cases; Chernivtsi region – 165 cases, Chernihiv region – 83 cases.

As we reported, the WHO claimed to observe five various mutations of coronavirus in Ukraine. One of the detected strains observed in Lviv region is 1.1 virus, which originates from China. On the other hand, there is no "British" strain of the disease among the detected ones. That particular strain is considered extremely contagious.
