In Cherkasy region, pyrotechnics found and eliminated 602 explosive objects from the Second World War. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Situations.
Explosive objects were eliminated during the inspection of the territory of private agricultural lands in the Buky village, Mankiv district.
"During the inspection of the territory were detected and eliminated 602 units of GNP during the Second World War (AS-37 - 326 units, AS-75 - 4 units, AS-20 - 1 unit, AS-45 - 1 unit, MM-81 - 2 units, PG-30 - 16 units and capsules - 252 units). The work continues," the statement informs.
The pyrotechnic units conduct daily inspections of the country, detection, elimination and neutralization of explosives from past wars. In the past 24 hours, 54 missions were conducted, during which 331 munitions were found.
As it was reported earlier, in 2019, Ukrainian pyrotechnics neutralized 65,000 explosive objects.
