Entrepreneurs have been protesting outside the Verkhovna Rada since this morning. According to police, about 500 citizens took part in today's rally. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that on December 1.
"Mass events are taking place in the government quarter today. Now here are about 500 people, judging by posters, they are representatives of the "SaveFOP" ("Save Individual Entrepreneurs") organization, - the department declared.
Police added that the protest action passed peacefully, without any offenses.
As it was reported, the entrepreneurs hold a rally near the President's Office in Kyiv, on November 30. The protesters demand the abolition of cash registers and ask for support for small and medium-sized businesses.
Last year, several protests took place in the center of Kyiv. In particular, about 1,000 entrepreneurs took part in the action under the walls of the Verkhovna Rada. Activists chanted that the parliamentarians prevent the existence of entrepreneurs with their bills and amendments. Activists opposed new fines for violations when using registrars of settlement transactions (cash registers).
Then, on December 7, 2020, Volodymyr Zelensky approved the postponement of the mandatory application of cash registers by single taxpayers, but the document provides for the postponement of the mandatory use of recorder of settlement transactions only until January 1, 2022.
