As at July 1, 2018, 42,263,9 people live in Ukraine as the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported.

"The number of the present population in Ukraine is 42,263,9 people as at July 1, 2018. during January-June 2018, the number of the population decreased by 112,500 people," the message said.

It is noted that the excess of the number of those who died over those who was born is still significant: 55 born for 100 died.
