360 cases of using illegal arms recorded in Ukraine in September, as the press office of the Ministry of Temporarily Occupied Territories reported.

“In September, the Ministry of Temporarily Occupied Territories recorded around 360 cases of usage of illicit arms, including armed conflicts, production of weaponry, its storage and distribution among the population… The number of arms the population possesses illegally increased with Russia’s armed aggression in eastern Ukraine,” the message says.

It was stressed that there was another component of the illicit trafficking – arms which are converted into firearms from traumatic or it is being made out of improvised means.

Reportedly, people tried to smuggle 100,000 bullets from Joint Forces Operation zone.

As was reported before, 119 facts of the sale of weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recorded in Ukraine in 2018. Vyacheslav Abroskin, Principal Deputy Head of the National Police, stated that this year during the last special operation, 913 items of arms from illicit trafficking were seized and directed for analysis.
