Head of Synodic information and education of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Klyment stated that 350,000 believers visited the Cross Procession in Kyiv as the Union of Orthodox Journalists reported.

“If in 2019, about 300,000 people participated in the Cross Procession; this year, there are much more of them,” he commented on the procession of Orthodox believers in downtown Kyiv.

We remind that hundreds of thousands of believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church walked from Saint Volodymyr Hill to the Dormition Church participating in the Cross Procession. Pershyi Nezalezhnyi TV channel holds broadcasting within a three-day marathon.

The representatives of the Greek Orthodox Church of Antioch, the Serbian Orthodox Church and Czech and Slovak Orthodox Church, episcopate, clergy of all episcopates of Ukrainian Orthodox Church, dozens thousands of believers from all over Ukraine and groups of foreign pilgrims from Montenegro, Georgia, Poland and other countries joined Metropolitan Onufriy in the service.

After the thanksgiving service, the large-scale and several-thousand-strong Cross Procession took place at the central streets of Kyiv with wonder-working icons to Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra to bless all Ukrainians with grace of the saints.

On July 26-28, the large-scale three-day marathon dedicated to the celebration of the Christianization of Kyiv Rus' is being held by Pershyi Nezalezhnyi TV channel.
