The Ministry of Health predicts 35,000 cases of viral morbidity in Ukraine per day in the worst cases. The prognosis includes both Covid-19 and influenza. This was stated in the comments to RBC-Ukraine by the acting Director of the Center for Public Health Igor Kuzin.

"The worst-case scenario that has been calculated is 35,000 daily cases of the disease," Kuzin said.

He noted that the scenario of 20 000 new cases of the disease per day is quite realistic.

"Now it is very difficult to make any accurate forecasts, but forecasts for a daily amount of 20 000 are quite realistic because we already see acute respiratory diseases, infections. It is likely that if the trends that are now being recorded continue, then the figure of 20 000 is quite real," Kuzin added.
