Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmyla Denisova said that Ukraine knew of 301 Ukrainians being held in the occupied part of Donbas. Denisova reported this on air of Dom TV channel.

She noted that during the armistice, the list of Ukrainian citizens who were imprisoned in occupied Donbas territory increased by 70 people.

"During this period of the armistice, the list of Ukrainian citizens who have been imprisoned (in occupied Donbas territory) has increased by 70 people. And this process continues, there are already 301 people. Every day we see that something is happening. Someone was seized, then released, and then seized again," Denisova said.

In addition, 258 citizens of Ukraine are on the lists of persons who went missing in the part of Donbas which is not controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. Some of them may also be in places of detention.

Denisova noted that on July 27, 2020, the agreements on the "silence" regime in Donbas, reached within the Trilateral Contact Group, came into force. Legally, these agreements are still valid, but in fact they are violated.

Earlier, on November 2, Denisova reported that Russian Federation continues to torture illegally detained Ukrainian citizens. A person involved in the "fourth Bakhchysarai group" was deprived of drugs that are vital for him.
