300 thousand Ukrainians on joint “blacklist” of Russia, Belarus

300 thousand Ukrainians are on the list of people prohibited to enter Belarus and Russia. This was announced by Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus Igor Shunevych, reports TYT.BY.

In total 1,7 million people are on the blacklist, 1,5 million people were enlisted by Russia, 300 thousand of them are Ukrainians, according to him.

When asked to comment the incident with Ukrainian writer Serhiy Zhadan, Shunevych said “I would like to discuss first if he’s really a famous writer. I’ve been studying Ukrainian literature for 17 years but I hear his name for the first time.”

Earlier it was reported that mass protests against "parasitism decree" took place in Belarus on February 26, 2017. Rallies were held in Babruysk, Baranovichi, Brest and Vitebsk.
