3 million of Ukrainians use visa-free regime over two years

Since the beginning of the visa-free regime, from June 11, 2017, 9,2 million of Ukrainians have crossed the border with biometric passports. Three million of Ukrainians went to the EU states without a visa, as the press office of State Emergency Service reported, in total, 42,6 million of Ukrainians carried out trips to the EU countries.  

“The largest number of our compatriots – over 1 million people – have crossed the border with Poland. Besides, Ukrainians often crossed the border with Hungary and Romania, where 350,000 and 245,000 people went respectively. Around 226,000 people crossed the border with Slovakia,” the message reads.

Moreover, almost 1 million of Ukrainians used air services. While sea traffic is the least popular, around 500 people used this way of transportation.

According to the information, over the second year of visa-free regime, 2,35 million of visa-free travels were recorded, which is by 4,2 times more than over the second year (540,000 people).

It should be noted that Ukraine has a visa-free regime with 30 EU-states.
