2,500 corruption cases passed to court in 2018, - Prosecutor General

Since the beginning of 2018, Ukrainian prosecution bodies submitted to the court 2,500 indictments on the corruption-relaed cases, as Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko said at an operation meeting, summing up the work over nine months, 112 Ukraine reports.

'Over this year, the law enforcers sent to the court more than 2,500 corruption criminal offences. 612 people were sentenced. It is a good result. Yet, we don’t have a right to stop there,' he said.

Besides, Prosecutor General said that 250 criminal proceedings on misuse of funds during construction and repair of the roads were opened. 37 of them were sent to the court.
