Meanwhile, a new, more dangerous strain of coronavirus from South Africa has been found in Ukraine. It is more aggressive than the previously discovered strain from the United Kingdom. Ukraine's Health Minister Maksym Stepanov announced this at a briefing.
"British strain of the virus is rampant in Ukraine. It is recorded throughout the country. Also in recent studies conducted abroad, where we send samples, the South African strain was also found in Ukraine. The difference is that it is more aggressive, the incubation period is from 1 to 3 days, it is more contagious and infects three times more people than previous strains. It affects the younger population. Therefore, follow all the rules of quarantine restrictions, use masks, antiseptics, avoid any mass gatherings," Stepanov said.
