It is noted that the investigators stumbled upon the equipment during the investigation of the damage to the main oil pipeline.
"Within two weeks, a number of searches were carried out in the Novograd-Volynsky district and almost 200 objects prepared for sale were seized. Among them there were APCs, IFVs, ZiLs, Ural, GAZ, box vans, trailers, tank trucks, aerial platforms, tractors with winches and other equipment, including for transportation of people by land and water, as well as a significant number of spare parts for it, batteries, tires and so on, "the report said.
The police added that now, the affiliation of the specified equipment is being established, including whether it is on the account in military units. It is noted that there was an announcement about the sale of the above equipment on the Internet.
"The authorized searches were carried out at several addresses where the vehicles were stored. In addition to the equipment itself, we also seized documents on its origin, the information indicated in them is being checked," said the police head of the Zhytomyr region Vyacheslav Pechenenko.
Now all the circumstances are being investigated within the framework of the article on misappropriation, embezzlement of property. The police filed a motion for seizure of the equipment until clarifying all the circumstances.
