19 Covid certificate forgeries detected at Boryspil Airport in one week

19 forgeries of Covid certificates were found at Boryspil Airport during the week, the press center of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv region reports.

"In the period from December 28, 2021 to January 3, 2022 on the territory of the airport, 19 people presented documents on vaccination with signs of forgery," the statement reads.

It is noted that the police opened criminal proceedings under Art. 358 of the Criminal code of Ukraine concerning forgery and use of forged documents.

Each of the facts will be verified and the appropriate legal qualification will be provided.

As it was reported, the European Commission (EC) has recommended limiting the validity of the coronavirus vaccination certificate to nine months. After that, it will be necessary to vaccinate with an additional booster dose of the vaccine.

Later it became known that Europe will shorten the validity period of foreign Covid certificates in 2022.
